Lori Graham, founder of Lori Graham Design + HOME, a Washington DC-based interior design firm and , with clients nationwide, combines a head for business with a flair for design. Lori is often lauded for her ability to marry “old warm charm with urban flair,” and for her use of “fresh colors, layers of texture and mix of modern materials.” Her interiors are described by clients as “chic yet comfortable” or as Lori used to say, “SoHo-Boho.” In 2007, Lori was named one of 5 designers and architects nationwide designated by Metropolitan Home magazine as a leading young designer when one of her projects landed the cover of the magazine’s “Who’s Next” issue. Since then, Lori’s work has been featured in multiple national and regional publications. Luxe Interiors + Design added Lori Graham Design to their 2014 Gold List, a list of select design professionals from across the US and has remained listed since.
Lori’s design work is not limited to private residences – she has worked with developers on boutique multi and single-family residences and is well-known by real estate agents for the successes of her highly-sought after work. Lori has also designed restaurants, bars, country club houses, yoga studios and fraternity and sorority houses.
Lori studied art history and design at Georgetown University and the Corcoran School of Art, respectively. She also holds a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, a Master’s Degree (MSc.) from the London School of Economics, and a BA in philosophy from the University of Tulsa. Prior to design, Lori practiced law in Washington DC and credits her legal career for the precision and professionalism with which she approaches her projects.
In 2012, Lori launched a luxury home furnishings showroom on DC’s bustling 14th Street – Lori Graham HOME. The showroom represented several boutique lines from around the globe such as London-based Ochre and Los Angeles based Shine by SHO and also features Lori’s own custom home furnishings collection – LG Place. With fine modern art provided and an extensive vintage furnishings collection, the showroom duly reflects Lori’s comfortably chic aesthetic.
